Introducing you to one of our most exciting projects to date Lyons Place. Perched close to the historic Abbey Road, our designers at A.LONDON gathered inspiration from the area’s creative heritage, in particular the swinging 60s and 70s, which can be sensed throughout our scheme. The show home consists of a natural palette with pops of colour, creating an intriguing boutique feel, setting the tone for the development as a whole.
To create an inviting living space, antiques were sourced locally and mixed with custom-designed pieces. A stand out piece can be found in the dining area, where a charming antique pendant hangs above the table. The dining table below, features a brass table base, which has been fitted with a bespoke specialist finish top, adding elegance to the space. The juxtaposition of materials and shapes create a retro and vibrant atmosphere, welcoming you immediately with its evident character.
Through long-standing relationships with leading businesses and developers both domestically and internationally, we have a vast portfolio of fashioning aspirational show homes, such as Lyons Place.
West of London’s centrepiece gardens, lies the secluded village of Holland Park, home to leafy streets, grand Victorian townhouses and celebrity inhabitants. This desirable neighbourhood was once the site of a Jacobean mansion that gave name to the area and it’s charming wooded parkland, complete with a Japanese garden and resident peacocks.
On the Eastern outskirts of Holland Park, set amongst an acre of landscaped grounds, Holland Park Villas is a rare collection of exceptional apartments, setting a new benchmark for quality in the super-prime central London residential development market. Here our designers created a tailor-made scheme to maximise the properties potential, using refined furniture pieces and a sophisticated tonal palette, to mirror the tranquil setting and create a serene space that speaks of understated elegance.
Situated moments from our London HQ in Marylebone, a prime location within London is our W1 scheme. With a calming atmosphere in mind, the luxurious apartment offers contemporary living with an abundance of space and natural light. This can be found through the master bedroom featuring a blue tonal colour palette while incorporating hints of subtle lilacs for a serene touch. In addition to this, to elevate the overall finish and effortlessly transform the rooms, inviting shades of beige and textures of shagreen add classic elegance.
With a unique design, the apartment has been composed with bespoke pieces, while the dark chevron floor has been tailored, harmoniously contrasting with the antique brass ironmongery finish throughout. Custom-made artwork simultaneously compliments and enhances the sumptuous feeling within the scheme, while chic accessories add a homely touch for the imagined homeowner.
Situated with a riverside view on one side, and beautiful landscaped gardens on the other, our show home scheme at Fulham Riverside is inspired by the flowing river, complemented by warm, rich and earthy tones. It is through this, that our designers have created an ambiance of tranquility and a truly homely and welcoming space.
The apartment is composed of strong sculptural shapes helping to exaggerate the ever-changing shadows and light reflections created by the architectural features of the development. Bespoke pieces can be found around all corners of the space, from the head-board design, that incorporates feminine hues and soft wave-like patterns mimicking water, to the angular base of the dining table.
At A.LONDON our interior designers are always travelling across the globe to experience first-hand the creations of leading artisans and emerging talents, inspiring our holistic approach and uniform style. We have a wide array of portfolios available to view, with each individual project highlighting the unique vision of our team.
Situated at the heart of White City is one of Britain’s most iconic buildings and West London’s greatest regeneration, the BBC Television Centre. Stanhope PLC collaborated with a handful of leading architects to effortlessly transform the unique space, forming both a creative hub and desirable, residential-led development in the heart of London.
The vibrant atmosphere is not only home to a roof-top pool and high-end cinema, but our newly designed and luxuriously curated, Premium Penthouse show home apartment. Haptic Architects embedded raw materials into the space, an aspect we emulated into our design alongside the iconic heritage of the building and the clients love for Scandinavian style. You can now find our bespoke two-bedroom scheme showcasing over on The Modern House.
Just a stone’s throw from London’s most iconic landmarks and home to an elite crowd of young professionals is where you can find our newest scheme; Chancery Quarters II. Nestled within the ancient legal district of Chancery Lane, renowned for its regal architecture and prestigious business schools, the Chancery Quarters development is setting a new benchmark within the Prime Central London residential development market, whilst offering occupants an idyllic escape from traditional inner-city living.
When curating the two-bedroom show home, our interior designers envisioned the prospective homeowner, injecting a masculine aesthetic into statement furniture pieces and large-scale accessories. Bespoke bed throws and luxurious complimenting fabrics were incorporated into both bedrooms, alongside minimally styled, effervescent florals.
Here at A.LONDON, we recently partnered with ambitious property developers Almacantar, on one of London’s most highly anticipated developments; Lyons Place. It is the first two-bedroom show home to be unveiled at the development, perched between Maida Vale, Little Venice and St.John’s Wood.
With all eyes set on the development to complete this summer, we managed to get in conversation with the developer’s Property Director, Kathrin Hersel:
What does Lyons Place offer the city against other major developments?
Kathrin Hersel: “With Lyons Place, we wanted to create a truly boutique offering. Designed by iconic British architect, and Maida Vale local Sir Terry Farrell, the beautifully crafted scheme references the rich cultural heritage of the area, and offers village-style living at the heart of a vibrant local community just moments from the centre of London. Residents will love the beautiful blue façade and brick exterior, it really stands apart from most modern buildings you see these days.”
Why was it important to unify the two surrounding neighbourhoods of Edgware Road and Maida Vale through this development?
KH: “Lyons Place is within the coveted NW8 postcode, at the meeting point of not just Edgware Road and Maida Vale but Little Venice too. This brilliant location presented us with an exciting opportunity, and we wanted to embody the spirit of these surroundings in our vision for the development. Maida Vale is known for its elegance and sophistication, Edgware Road for its vibrancy and buzz, and of course Little Venice for its stunning canals and picturesque neighbourhood feel.”
How has A.LONDON’s Show Home design met Almacantar’s vision for the development’s residents?
KH: “A.LONDON’s design for our two bedroom show home perfectly reflects the personality of the development. Drawing on inspiration from the heritage of the area, they have brought together a wonderful array of objects and materials, which have created a welcoming home. The approach taken by A.LONDON has proven to be desirable to both old and young, due to the quality styling and timeless design.”

The Royal Academy’s (RA) Summer Exhibition is one of the most coveted and renowned art events within London’s creative calendar. Coordinated by Jock McFayden this year, the showcase of work ranges from paintings, sculpture, architecture, photography and mixed media of all shapes, sizes and styles.
As designers, every year we make a conscious effort to visit the exhibition remaining in touch with current trends and world affairs occupying the minds of international creatives. This year the theme was titled ‘Art That Describes the World Today’, showcased through more than 1500 self-submitted art pieces. From room to room, we delved into numerous environmental and political concerns shared by many, particularly through a key piece at the entry of the exhibition by anonymous street artist, Banksy.
There is no doubt the RA Summer Show is an incredible place to find inspiration, covering all aspects of creativity and design. We love immersing ourselves into the minds of both emerging and established talents, incorporating bespoke artworks within our tailor-made schemes which you can see in our portfolio of show homes here.
