INTRODUCING
CHELSEA WATERFRONT _
PROJECTS | May 2026
Set along the Thames at one of London’s most prestigious riverside addresses, our two residences at Chelsea Waterfront present a considered interpretation of contemporary city living, shaped by light, incredible views, and the rhythm of life by the river.
Appointed to design two aspirational apartments within Tower West and the newly completed Tower East, we were tasked with creating interiors that do more than impress at first glance. Both 2,200 sqft, three-bedroom apartments, each of the space needed to resonate on a personal level, allowing prospective buyers to immediately imagine themselves living, hosting, and unwinding within these homes.
The result is a pair of distinct yet connected interiors. One draws on the cultural energy and expressive spirit of Chelsea’s past, layered, characterful, and rich in narrative. The other takes a quieter approach, guided by the movement of natural light from morning through to dusk, offering a calm and contemporary living experience.
Together, they reflect our belief that a successful interior is not just about how a space looks, but how it makes you feel the moment you walk in.
“…layered, expressive, and rich with personality...”
Tower West: A Story of Character and Cultural Energy
Within the apartment in Tower West, we wanted to create a home that feels layered, expressive, and rich with personality.
Drawing inspiration from the creative spirit of King’s Road in the 1970s, we introduced a design language rooted in bold textures, curated materials, and artistic references. We wanted to capture the areas history and translate it into a home suited to modern living.
We complemented the apartment’s existing finishes rather than replacing them, allowing wood, chrome, and marble to anchor the scheme. Around this foundation, we built a composition of retro-inspired fabrics, layered finishes, and carefully selected furnishings.
A key moment sits above the dining table, an iconic Slim Aarons photograph of Lake Como sets the tone for the entire space, extending onto the terrace where sculptural greenery and iron-framed furniture echo a European sense of leisure and sophistication. Other beautiful photographs by Aaron’s can be seen across the scheme, creating a cohesive and culturally intriguing space.
The result is a home with pieces that feel collected over time. A place where entertaining feels natural, and where the River remains a constant presence through expansive glazing and considered spatial planning.
Tower East: Designed Around the Rhythm of Light
In Tower East, we took a different approach. Here, the story begins with light.
From the early softness of morning through to the warmth of sunset, the apartment is shaped by the natural progression of the day. Pale blues, gentle neutrals, and subtle orange accents reflect the changing tones of the Thames, creating a living environment that feels calm yet visually engaging.
As you move into the private spaces, the palette deepens. Bedrooms become quieter, more grounded, offering a sense of retreat from the pace of the city.
Every design choice was made to support this flow. Furniture is positioned to maintain uninterrupted views. Structural elements are integrated into the layout to define zones without disrupting openness. The result is a home that balances presence and calm, ideal for both entertaining and everyday living.
“Chelsea Waterfront gave us the opportunity to design two interiors that respond to the setting in different ways, one in Tower West and the other in the newly completed Tower East, each with its own clear direction. Across both apartments, we focused on balancing materials and liveability to create spaces that feel thoughtful, comfortable and suited to the riverside setting, while maintaining their own distinct character.”

One Development, Two Distinct Experiences
Chelsea Waterfront offered a unique opportunity. A single brief centred riverside living, yet the freedom to interpret it in two entirely different ways.
Both apartments share a common purpose. They help buyers move beyond viewing and into imagining. Hosting friends with the skyline as a backdrop. Quiet evenings overlooking the river. Homes that support both aspiration and daily life.
“Chelsea Waterfront is a genuinely special setting, and we wanted both schemes to honour that. Together, they reflect what we do best: interiors that have a clear point of view and a strong sense of place.”

Designing with the Buyer in Mind
At the heart of both projects is a simple principle. A successful interior must feel liveable, intuitive, and personal.
At A.LONDON, we always design with the future buyer’s journey in mind. From the first impression to the final detail, every element is there to support a connection. One that allows someone to walk in and immediately feel that this could be their place in London.
Chelsea Waterfront is a remarkable place. Our role was to ensure the interiors live up to that promise, offering spaces that feel as considered as the views they frame.
