With our homes becoming a permanent hybrid role between working and living, wellness and mindfulness will continue to have a heavy influence on interior design trends throughout 2022. To ensure your interiors are on point for the year, our designers have shared their top home decor trends and how you can get the look in your own home.

“…wellness and mindfulness will continue to have a heavy influence on interior design trends...”

Natures Influence

Biophilic design, or ‘bringing the outdoors in’ is more important than ever before. Not only does it bring life to a room, houseplants keep the air we breathe clean helping boost moods. As seen throughout our luxury interior design portfolios, such as The W1 Townhouse and Horlicks Quarter, select plants of different heights and shapes, instantly forming a balanced arrangement.

Raw Materials

Enhance your greenery further and incorporate natural surfaces such as marble and travertine. Take inspiration from the secret garden of the outstanding N°1 Belgravia, the raw stone backdrop allows the greenery to pop out, whilst the wooden cladding adds warmth to the space, completing a serene environment perfect to retreat to.

Sculptural Curves

Clean-cut lines have been replaced by sculptural curves. From cabinets to sofas, this trend is going to be prominent throughout the year. As seen in our award-winning project, The W1 Townhouse, make a statement with the Chiltern Street Curved Sofa, and complement the fluid shapes with soft bouclé cushions. Designed by our talented designers, you can shop the Chiltern Street Curved Sofa, exclusively from luxury furniture store, Bazaar

Blue Tones

If you haven’t already, create a space of escapism by formulating a zone of relaxation in your home. To achieve this, opt for cool and neutral colour palettes, adding serenity and comfort to your interiors. In fact, Dulux’s Colour of the Year for 2022, ‘Blue Skies’, breathes life into any space. Take inspiration from the living room seen in our luxury show home, Horlicks Quarter, layering shades of blues together instantly offers a welcoming atmosphere.

Alfresco Gardens

Looking ahead to spring, as we continue to spend more time entertaining outdoors during the warmer months, it’s important to design our gardens as natural extensions to the home. Take inspiration from our luxury rental project, N°1 Belgravia, and choose refined, sophisticated outdoor furniture pieces. Create different zones using your furniture to maximise the space of your garden, offering alternative areas for any occasion.

Add a Bespoke & Personalised Touch

Whether it’s using bespoke designed furniture, sourcing art pieces, or styling pieces such as sculptures, a trend the designers forecast for this year is an increased demand for personalisation and storytelling. As seen in the award-winning Lyons Place, when staging homes, it is imperative for our team to truly understand the characteristics and location of your property ensuring to reflect this in the final design. Gone are the days when mass-produced carbon-copy furniture pieces were on our wish lists. Instead, a design which reflects the homeowner, whether that be through minimalism, or bold and eclectic interiors, are now favoured when creating a home.
