As part of Accouter Group of Companies, our designers have had the pleasure of dressing Argent’s latest development, 2 Ashley Road. The team thoroughly enjoyed designing this luxury show home, where they featured a variety of locally sourced pieces, from artwork right through to the finishing styling accessories, contributing to our sustainable ambitions.
We sat down with Argent’s Marketing Manager, Rachel Jones, to find out about her inspirations, favourite furniture design and more.
What building inspires you?
The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, it blows my mind. The complexity of the design, build and it’s a feat of engineering, and it’s still not finished!
Design you wish you had come up with?
Possibly the iPhone, a design icon and so many people cannot live without one.

What brings you the most pleasure?
Hanging out with friends in the sunshine, laughing and sipping Rosé.
Favourite furniture design piece?
Pierre Jeanneret Design Lounge Chair. I really love the Rattan look.
Last item you bought for your wardrobe?
Had some items selected for me from Stitch N Fix, I ended up having a new jumpsuit, top and jeans.
Restaurant you’d most like to visit and why?
Ave Mario, the latest Covent Garden restaurant from the Big Mamma Group. From a write up I read it sounds like great fun and way more than a restaurant, but an experience.
What was the last thing that made you laugh out loud?
My partner making very funny faces on a FaceTime call! It wasn’t the best look but made me chuckle.
Artist you most admire?
James Turrell. He creates some fantastic light installations, very minimal, architectural, creative, and colourful!
Music or podcast last downloaded?
Dermot Kennedy, I saw him live at Alexandra Palace late September it was great!
Anything you collect?
Currently building on my golf club set, trying to get into it as my partner is a keen golfer and it’s nice to get out and walk the course. Very social too!
Cocktail discovery of 2021?
Anything with Gin in. I recently went to Padstow and discovered this lovely Padstow Rose Gin. It was peppery rather than fruity, served with premium tonic and rose petals, it was very refreshing.
If you could do anything else, what would it be?
I would actually love to be an interior designer; I really enjoy that side of my role and I dabble at home trying to be bold and creative while I decorate my place.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Just do your best, that’s all anyone can ask of you.
The gift that gave you the most pleasure?
A wonderful two-week family holiday to Croatia. We spent one week on a boat cruising the islands followed by a week’s stay in a villa. Very fond memories indeed, it was a very special trip.
Something you will never part with?
My mattress, it’s so comfy and there’s nothing better than a great night’s sleep! Or my Passport, as I live for holidays and enjoy soaking up the sun!
