THE W1 DEVELOPMENT_

PROJECTS August 2020

Perfectly positioned between Regent’s Park, Mayfair and Oxford Street stands the boutique development of The W1 London. Our talented team at A.LONDON have had the opportunity to dress several properties within the development, including recently revealed, The Townhouse. Whilst The Wyndham and Fitzroy & Chandos apartment display a classic elegant design, it was a welcomed surprise that The Townhouse took a very different design direction.

Creating schemes for the imagined homeowner each property showcases an individual personality inspired by the building’s architecture and surroundings, read on to learn more about each property and how they differ from one another.

THE TOWNHOUSE

The Townhouse stands tall with ceilings extending high into the sky, the luxurious home offers contemporary living with an abundance of space and natural light. Imagined by our designers as the ultimate entertaining space, much like a Miami penthouse, inspiration was drawn from the scenes of Slim Aarons’ nostalgic photography.

What sets The Townhouse apart is the exclusively chosen art pieces. Placed in every room, sculptural and hand-selected artwork tells their own story within the space. A key piece includes locally sourced artwork from British Contemporary Artist, Nat Bowen’s ‘Chromology’ series, also showcased in the Saatchi Gallery. Conversational and unique, the artwork’s organic resin composition sits perfectly in the monumental space.

THE WYNDHAM

With a calming atmosphere in mind, the luxurious apartment offers contemporary living with an abundance of space and natural light. With a unique design, the apartment has been composed with bespoke pieces, while the dark chevron floor has been tailored, harmoniously contrasting with the antique brass ironmongery finish throughout. Custom-made artwork simultaneously complements and enhances the sumptuous feeling within the scheme, while chic accessories add a homely touch for the imagined homeowner.

FITZROY & CHANDOS

Elegantly created, the client wanted to reflect the interior architectural detailing and style of the property, pastel and jaded colours worked seamlessly against vibrant and detailed accessories. The luxury apartment radiates sophistication through soft curves and shades of cream juxtaposed with sharp contrasted linear elements throughout.

Inspired by the natural elements within the vicinity of the development and the miscellaneous area of Marylebone, bespoke artwork was carefully selected enhancing the muted colour palette even more so within the space.
